Outside the Cave IV, like the previous volumes, boasts an array of poems on subjects from the mundane to the lofty.  Georgia S. McDade lives her life tasting the good, tolerating the not-so-good, and enduring the bad.  The poetry is the exhibition of this truth. As a decade older student told her, “But you’re not just a great teacher of literature—you teach sociology, anthropology, history, economics, political science, psychology, journalism, religion!
